1. Your Right to Opt Out

California’s privacy law (the CCPA as amended by the CPRA) gives residents the right to opt out of the “sale” and “sharing” of their personal information, and several other states provide similar rights. This page explains what those terms mean, what Broadcast Media Inc dba MyHomeSale.net (“MyHomeSale,” “we”) actually does, and how to submit an opt-out request.

2. What “Sale” and “Sharing” Mean

Under the CPRA, a “sale” is broader than exchanging data for money: it includes disclosing personal information to a third party for money or other valuable consideration. A “share” means disclosing personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising — targeting ads to you based on your activity across different websites — whether or not money changes hands. Disclosures to service providers that process data only on our behalf, under contract, are neither sales nor sharing.

3. What We Do — and Do Not Do

  • We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not disclose it to third parties for other valuable consideration.
  • We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising: the site carries no third-party advertising or tracking cookies and participates in no ad networks that would receive your data.
  • We never sell, rent, or share SMS opt-in data or phone numbers under any circumstances — not to third parties, not to affiliates, not for anyone’s marketing. Mobile numbers and consent records go only to the messaging provider that delivers our texts, solely to deliver them. See the Text Messaging (SMS) Information section of our Privacy Policy.
  • We have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age — because we do not sell or share the personal information of anyone, of any age.

4. Cookie-Based Disclosures

On many websites, the most common form of “sharing” happens invisibly through advertising and analytics cookies that transmit browsing data to ad-tech companies. As described in our Cookie Policy, we do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is no cookie-based sale or sharing on this site to opt out of. If that ever changes, we will update this page and our Cookie Policy first and provide a functioning opt-out control before any such cookies are used.

5. How to Submit an Opt-Out Request

Even though we do not sell or share personal information, you are always welcome to submit a request, and we will confirm and record it. You can:

  • Email [email protected] with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share”;
  • Use our contact form and state that you are making a Do Not Sell or Share request;
  • Call (877) 634-4111; or
  • Write to Broadcast Media Inc dba MyHomeSale.net, 1712 Pioneer Ave., Ste 500, Cheyenne, WY 82001, USA.

You do not need an account to submit a request, and there is no charge.

6. Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing for the browser sending the signal, as California regulations require. Because we do not sell or share personal information, the signal confirms the treatment your data already receives rather than changing anything. You can enable GPC through supporting browsers and extensions.

7. Verification

Opt-out requests do not require identity verification the way access or deletion requests do; we act on them as received. If a request is ambiguous — for example, we cannot tell which email address or phone number it concerns — we may ask a clarifying question, but we will never ask for more information than needed to act on your request.

8. Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. The agent should identify you, state that they are acting as your authorized agent, and provide reasonable proof of authorization, such as your signed permission. We may confirm the request with you directly.

9. Response Timelines

We act on opt-out requests as soon as feasible and in any event within 15 business days, and we will send a confirmation to the contact information you provided. Requests to know, delete, or correct personal information follow the timelines in our Privacy Policy (generally 45 days, extendable once with notice).

10. Non-Discrimination

Exercising your privacy rights will never count against you. We will not deny you access to the site or its tools, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of quality because you submitted an opt-out or any other privacy request.

11. More Information

Your full set of privacy rights — including the rights to know, delete, and correct, state-by-state details, and our appeal process — is described in our Privacy Policy. Questions: [email protected].
